Spring is here!

The weather is lovely this week in Sydney (28C or 82F) & lookie what I found when I went outside yesterday.

Yes, my freesias are blooming & I look forward to seeing them all out! They are my favourite flower. I planted them maybe 20 years ago & they have seeded all over my front lawn. That's my type of gardening, plant one year & never touch them again! I wish I could have as much success with daffodils but I don't think it gets cold enough here for them. Bugger.

I think I can smell their sweet scent from here. Freesias are one of my favourite flowers. There are some out in our garden somewhere but not yet blooming. No daffodils here this year but plenty of smelly but still pretty jonquils.

Hi Alison, spring has definately arrived here in NZ too. Got lots of pretty daffodils and earlycheer out in the garden but my freesias haven't flowered yet - they're one of my favourites too.

Freesias are my favs too Alison, and a whole vase of them is just heaven.

The wind is pretty out there today here and the clouds are looming, spring is just not quite here yet.

Freesias always put a smile on my face - apart from their wonderful scent, they remind me greatly of my Mum (they're one of her favourite flowers).
