Progress pics

I started My Earth on 31/12 as I promised. Mind you, I only stitched a couple of rows. But I got it out again yesterday & here is the progress pic.

My New Year's Day start was SB's The Earth Gatherers. I am so loving this piece! But boy is there a lot of work in it. I've stitched the girl....that patchwork vest took ages. I meant to keep track of the hours worked (just for interest sake) but forgot. I've been working on her every day since Jan 1 so that would be quite a few hours I think. This is how she's looking now:

I got a new camera for Christmas & I love it! I can see the difference in my pics already. My old one was only 1.3 megapixels & the new one is 7. Such a difference!

I have stitched both of these pieces and loved every minute of it. Unfortunately, I sold the Earth Gatherers one on ebay (I got $168 for it) because I didn't like the way it was framed and it didn't match any of the other decor. Yours looks lovely! Go to my September 8th post to see mine:

Such beautiful starts!! I can see that a lot of work has gone into that vest.

You go GF! Both Earths are coming along. I need to get Earth Gatherers out again. I have the boy all done and the girl is done about as much as yours...but that was years ago...it is a fun piece to stitch! Enjoy

The two pieces look great. I do love the patchwork of the little girl piece.

You've very ambitious starting "My Earth" and "Earth Gatherers" so close to each other!

I finished Earth Gatherers this part year, and I love it - it was a lot of work, but the end result was so worth it. I'm waiting until I buy my own house before I get it framed.

I agree with Susan, two bigger SB projects at the same time, what an effort Alison! Great that you're getting in some stitching every day. You'll be finished in no time at that rate :) Well done for your work so far.
PS: I've been looking at your blog for awhile now and enjoy seeing your completed work, especially SB pieces.
